Adventurous visitors can enjoy climbing, hiking and canyoneering in the warmer months, or snowshoeing and cross country-skiing in winter. The park contains one of the most dangerous hikes in the world: the 2.2-mile path to Angel's Landing.
Zion is also a protected archeological site. Early inhabitants called this land Mukuntuweap, and evidence of their lives — dating back over 10,000 years — can still be seen throughout the park today.
