This week at the Global Partnership for Education, leaders must come together to pledge the full $5 billion needed to advance gender equality and tackle the climate crisis. We have an opportunity here to raise our voices and demand funding for girls' education. Together with Plan International and my fellow activists at Transform Education (hosted by UNGEI), we are calling on power-holders to protect and increase education budgets and promote education so that every girl has the opportunity to lead. The world is at a critical crossroads. After over a year of disruption to education, now is not the time to cut budgets! We must not let this happen. We will only achieve a climate and gender-just world if we invest in better education. It’s time to transform our education systems for a better world.
