| The amount of emergency rental aid reaching tenants and landlords was $1.7 billion in July, up from $1.5 billion in June, according to data released Wednesday by the Treasury Department. The total amount of funding spent is a small part of the $46.5 billion Congress set aside to keep tenants in their homes.
