| President Biden is expected to announce that he is ordering the U.S. military to complete its withdrawal from Afghanistan by the end of the month, with a reduction of troops beginning slowly but immediately, a senior administration official said.
The plan will meet Taliban requirements that the U.S. military leave by Aug. 31, while leaving open a window of a few days if needed. |
