Hello Hax: People always mention domestic violence when it comes to romantic relationships, but can domestic violence apply in family relationships? I moved in with my dad six months ago to help take care of him. He and I have always had a difficult and complicated relationship, but our time at home during the pandemic has turned him into a monster who is now emotionally abusing me, and who refuses to communicate at any basic level of human decency. Unfortunately, I am living at home with him in the most expensive area in the country and am isolated, with no other family or friends nearby or even access to a car. What can I do?
