Welcome to the monthly reading list of Design Stories, the online magazine of Finnish Design Shop. In September, we invite you on a virtual tour to Säynätsalo Town Hall designed by Alvar Aalto, Joan Miró's studio in Mallorca, 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen and an art lover's home in Helsinki. We also introduce the lovely Väre collection Marianne Huotari has designed for the National Museum of Finland.
Säynätsalo Town Hall was built in the early 1950s to serve as a town hall for a municipal of only 3,000 residents. Today, the building is open to visitors and offers guest rooms for an overnight stay.
