Here's a blunt message to Democrats that surely plenty of Americans would appreciate: "Stop acting like children."
That's the message from Dana Milbank, who in a satisfying break from the self-righteous squabbling from the party's factions, exempts no one from his scolding.
"To both sides in this internecine squabble: Failure isn't an option," he writes. "If you come up empty on both of these packages, you will kill the rest of the Biden agenda, mortally wound the Biden presidency, and facilitate a Republican takeover of the House and the Senate — handing power to a faction that is creeping toward authoritarianism."
Maybe — just maybe — adults in the party will see reason.
The justices will decide next week whether to accept a case asking the court to take responsibility for supervising, and limiting, the practices of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
