| Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) argues that because Democrats control the White House and both branches of Congress, they are tasked with raising the debt limit on their own — even though almost every time the so-called debt ceiling has been lifted, it has been done in bipartisan fashion.
