Sign girls' petition - they're speaking out about false information online! 📢
| False information has real life consequences. No images? Click here Dear supporter, Every day we see lies and stereotypes about our bodies, who we are and how girls should behave online. False information online makes us doubt our worth. It harms our mental health. And it stops us reaching our potential. Right now, we’re left to deal with this on our own. We are urgently asking governments to act now and teach us the digital literacy skills we need to tell what’s true from what’s false. Will you help raise our voices? Time and again videos and images are manipulated to objectify and shame us. We see fake facts about the COVID-19 vaccines. And we watch as women leaders - our role models - are undermined with rumours and conspiracy theories. Lies spread faster online. And this problem is increasing every day as the pandemic moves our lives online. We are urgently asking governments to educate us – and all children – in digital literacy. All young people need to be able to question information and check facts before they share it. It’s a vital step.
