If you've been following the kerfuffle over the bigoted emails of now-former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, beware. You may be at risk of falling for "one of the all-time misdirection plays" in NFL history.

That's according to Mike Wise, a former sports writer for The Post, who neatly explains that Gruden's resignation is just "collateral damage" in the unveiling of the toxic culture at the Washington Football Team.

Gruden's emails — exchanged with Bruce Allen, the former president of the Washington Football Team — were caught up in a 10-month investigation into the Washington team. And at its center is the team's owner, Dan Snyder, who presided over all of it.

That Gruden resigned while Snyder remains relatively unscathed should be an outrage.
