| The federal government has reached a tentative settlement with the families of victims of a 2018 mass shooting at the Florida high school. The families had sued over the FBI's failure to act on warnings that gunman Nikolas Cruz was planning an attack, a person involved in the litigation said. Cruz, now 23, pleaded guilty last month to killing 14 students and three faculty members in the February 2018 massacre. |
